What is FlyKnight?

FlyKnight is a first person dungeon crawler inspired by Kings Field and Shadow Tower Abyss. It's slow, heavy, dark and challenging.

Sir Buzzalot the Fly-Knight has been tasked with the challenging quest of entering Lunamoth's Lair and vanquishing the evil witch and her brainless minions. Do you have what it takes to prevail and emerge victorious?

It's a small game made in two weeks for a gamejam and as such its length is short (about half an hour). That said, it's quite feature complete and will feel like a little piece of a grand, much larger adventure.

Specs

FlyKnight doesn't use textures or dynamic lighting but it was made in the Unreal Engine which isn't exactly lightweight.

It should run in most decent PCs from the last 10 years.

The Future

FlyKnight was a small game made in 2 weeks but it received a lot of attention and people seem interested in it or in things like it.

However, I have already commited to develop another game called Sorceress which I have been working on for many years and even had a succesful Kickstarter campaign to fund its development cycle. A lot of people are looking forward to it, specially me.

So, is this The End of FlyKnight?
Well, not necessarily, as a game developer I'm interested in doing more stuff with it, it's a type of game I greatly enjoy and the artstyle makes producing content for it so easy that it's appealing to develop compared to my current project which has a lot more effort put into its graphix.

Many things could be done with FLyKnight and I'd like to open a poll to ask you what you'd like. Making a classic Kings Field style game could work well but I think I could pull off an online style of game too, but I'm not sure if I should make a single player game with online or an online-centered experience, so I'll leave a poll here for you to tell me.

Thanks for checking out the website btw, it was super fun to make!
